The Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation has pledged $2 million to fund 40 community tree-planting events in neighborhoods across the United States as part of the Enterprise Urban Tree Initiative.
Founded in 2018, the Enterprise Urban Tree Initiative invests in cities that have been devastated by hurricanes, tornadoes, wildfires, floods, hailstorms and other natural disasters. Each project is selected to prioritize immediate reforestation needs and to help restore damaged ecosystems.
The initiative is in addition to the 50 Million Tree Pledge, Enterprise’s ongoing partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation. It also complements Enterprise’s long term efforts to provide disaster recovery support to affected communities. Enterprise plays a key role in supporting insurance companies, utility companies and government agencies get the recovery and restoration process under way by moving vehicles to affected areas quickly and seamlessly. In addition, Enterprise works with nonprofit partners and holds an ongoing annual multi-million-dollar commitment to the Red Cross’s Annual Disaster Giving Program (ADGP), which provides a reliable funding base for disaster relief services.
